• September 7, 2000.  Patmont Motor Werks is equipping their Know-Ped, Sport-Ped, and Liquimatic models with a new fork design.  The new fork design is a one-sided fork (see picture at right).  According to Gabe Patmont of Patmont Motor Werks:

"This was done for several reasons:  (1) better all around design, (2) weight, (3) manufacturability, and (4) to keep appearances similar within our family of scooters.  We will remain originators not imitators.  The fork's overall geometry will remain the same as the old fork, so our handling characteristics will not be affected."

Note: Our upcoming review of the Go-Ped Liquimatic was written before this new fork design was available.
